The Blushing Golden apple is essentially a new and improved version of the Golden Delicious! Our Blushing Golden apples, also known as Gold Blush Apples, are the perfect snack for kids due to their smaller size, their crisp yet soft, easy-to-bite texture, and their sweet, fruity taste.
History
The Blushing Golden apple exists as a result of crossbreeding the Golden Delicious apple and the Jonathon apple. Its seedling was first created in
Cobden, Illinois, USA, 1959. The fruit was first
introduced by Stark Brothers Nursery in Louisiana, Missouri, USA in 1968.

Blushing Golden apples first originated in Illinois, USA. Nowadays, they are grown in various other states throughout America, as well as other apple growing regions across the globe. We sourced ours from Ukraine.
Flavours & Texture
Blushing Golden apples are known for being firm, juicy, and tangy. Their flavour is similar to the Golden Delicious, but fuller and richer. They have a honey-like sweetness. When you bite into it, you're met with a crisp skin texture followed by a softer, very juicy, slightly grainy flesh. Interestingly, the flavour of Blushing Golden apples is said to improve over time in storage.
